Casting Championships With
the proposed introduction of the new weight classifications of bodyweights of
80kg and over 80kg by FIPS-M at their recent meeting of the Technical
Commission, the NTCG agreed to postpone the selection of the England Casting
Teams until April, 2005 by which time further information as to the changes
within the CIPS-FIPS-M Classifications and the number of teams which can be
entered will be established. Further applications for this discipline will
therefore be accepted until April, 2005.

was agreed by the NTCG that a Junior or Youth Team would not selected for the
World Junior and Youth Shore Championships to be held in Egypt, until further
information upon the event had been received from FIPS-M and the host nation the
Egyptian Federation.

the International Programme.
World
Shore Fishing Championships Fished at Weymouth Sept 2004
England's Men's and Ladies teams have swept the board at the World Shore Fishing Championships fished at Weymouth. The five man men's team won all four matches and the ladies won three of their four. Steve All Mark is now World Champion having won the Gold just ahead of Ian Golds who collected the silver.

Pauline Ferry won silver in the ladies Championship but shared the same points with the Portugese winner, Fernanda Pereira, loosing on count back, Sheryl Bellfield won the bronze.
The Championships were staged by th NFSA and hosted by the Weymouth and Portland Borough Council; 21 teams competed from 12 Countries, matches were fished on Chesil Beach and was catch and release. Species caught in the matches that over lapped into dark included cod, mullet, garfish, sole and LSD.
A very successful Championship said David Rowe the Development Officer of the NFSA.
